Measurements for every children's size Zahra Closet stocks — currently 0-3M, 3-6M, 6-9M, 6-12M, 9-12M, 1-1.5Y, 1-2Y, 1.5-2Y, 2-2.5Y, 2-3, 2-3Y, 2.5-3Y, 3-4Y, 4-5Y, 5-6Y, 6-7Y, 7-8Y. All measurements are of the garment, in inches, and may vary by up to half an inch between pieces.
How to measure
- Measure a garment, not the child. Take something that already fits well, lay it flat, and measure that. It is far easier and far more accurate than trying to hold a tape around a moving three-year-old.
- Chest. Straight across the garment from underarm to underarm, then doubled.
- Length. From the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the hem.
- Waist. Across the waistband, flat and unstretched, then doubled.
- Between two sizes? Take the larger one. Children grow into clothes faster than they grow out of a slightly loose fit.

How do I measure my child for clothing?
Lay a garment that already fits your child flat and measure it rather than measuring the child. Chest is measured straight across the garment under the arms and doubled; length is measured from the highest point of the shoulder down to the hem. Compare those figures against the Zahra Closet size chart and choose the closest size.
Should I order by my child's age or by measurements?
Order by measurements. Age labels are a rough guide only — two children of the same age can be two sizes apart — so the chest and length measurements on the Zahra Closet size chart are the reliable figure. If your child falls between two sizes, take the larger one.
What if the size I order does not fit?
If a size does not fit, message Zahra Closet on WhatsApp within 3 days of delivery and we will exchange it for a different size, provided the item is unworn, unwashed and in its original packaging.
